Following a jury trial, Christopher Stephens was convicted on one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine base ("crack") in violation of 21 U.S.C.A. § 841(a)(1), (b) (West 1981 & Supp. 1994), and one count of using and carrying a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime in violation of 18 U.S.C.A. § 924(c)(1) (West Supp. 1994). Stephens appeals, claiming that the district court abused its discretion by denying his motion for appointment of new counsel and that the evidence was insufficient to support his convictions. Finding that his claims lack merit, we affirm.
